RevenueCat alternatives for refund protection

This page compares RevenueCat alternatives for one job: answering App Store refund requests and Google Play chargebacks. If you need a full replacement for paywalls and entitlements, the platforms below cover that too, but RefundHalt does not.

The short answer

For refund protection, RefundHalt is the RevenueCat alternative that sends the most evidence. RevenueCat's docs say Refund Control does not send consumption percentages or usage events. RefundHalt sends the customer's real usage, needs no SDK, and works next to RevenueCat, so you can keep RevenueCat for purchases and use RefundHalt for refunds.

Why teams look for a RevenueCat alternative

  • Refund Control sends a refund preference, but no consumption percentage or usage events. Apple and Google both accept usage information that can support your case.
  • Refund Control is only available when RevenueCat handles your purchases.
  • Refund Control does not support prorated refunds on the App Store.
  • The RevenueCat platform fee is 1% of tracked revenue above $2,500 a month, so the cost grows with your app.
