RefundHalt processes app store transaction and refund data on behalf of app developers to respond to platform refund requests. We collect the minimum necessary: store notifications, purchase metadata, and, when developers choose to send it, usage events.

Data we store

Account data (name, email via Google Sign-In), app configuration, encrypted store credentials (AES-256-GCM), transaction and refund records received from Apple and Google, and usage events supplied by developers.

Advertising measurement and cookies

We use the Google tag to measure which of our Google ads bring visitors to RefundHalt. If you arrive from one of our ads, we keep the ad click ID in a cookie for up to 90 days. When you sign up, start a trial, connect an app or start a paid plan, we tell Google Ads that the click led to that step, together with a one-way hash (SHA-256) of your account email, so Google can match it. Google processes this data under the Google Ads Data Processing Terms.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we ask first. Nothing is stored or sent for advertising until you accept, and you can decline. This applies only to RefundHalt account holders. We never send data about your app's customers or their purchases to any advertising service.

What we never do

We never sell data, never use your app customers' data for advertising, and never access your developer accounts beyond the permissions you explicitly grant in App Store Connect or Play Console.
